Law 51.570 Theories of Conflict Resolution

    This course is an introduction to the field of conflict studies, negotiation and mediation theory. Topics covered in the course include: the nature of conflict, the resolution of conflict, negotiation styles, ADR, mediation approaches, and current issues and trends in the field such as the place of power, gender and culture.

Law 51.572 Advanced Conflict Resolution And Mediation

    This course builds upon Law 51.571 - Introduction to Conflict Resolution and Mediation. Topics covered in this course include: how to convene, conduct and conclude a mediation session, analyzing the conflict situation; dealing with impasse, facilitating problem-solving sessions, co-mediation, standards of practice, ethical dilemmas, liability, and becoming a reflective practitioner.
