I am a professor in social anthropology and political economy at

Carleton University, Ottawa. My interests include symbolic

and semantic analysis, brain studies from a social scientific perspective,

the history of astrology and the apocalypse, Latin American anthropology,

and applied research in the field of project and conflict management

for sustainable development. I am currently working on

an online and CD-ROM Social Analysis System that offers participatory techniques

ant software tools for social analysis, process management, and process-based learning,

a project supported by the International Development Research Centre (Ottawa).
