Chair of the Department of History at Carleton University, Brian McKillop specializes in intellectual and cultural history. His research interests include religion, higher education, elite and popular culture, and historiography. Elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 2001, he was designated Chancellor's Professor at Carleton University in 2002.
