PHYSIOLOGICAL AND PHYSICAL DISORDERS

Procrastination may be related also to physical disorders and lesions in the brain. Lesions in the frontal lobe (bilateral hemisphere in globus pallidus) may cause a change in behavior which may include apathy, a lack of motivation and procrastination. Often these changes are accompanied by amnesia and an abrupt change in character. They are also not accompanied by depression (Strub 1989).
