- September 2004 - August 2005: Returned to the Competition Bureau
to become the T.D. MacDonald Chair in Industrial Economics for the second time.
- July 2003: Elected to Carleton University Senate.
- April 2003: Birth of our second child, Colin.
- July 2002: Promoted to Full Professor.
- July 2001: Became the Director of Ottawa-Carleton Joint PhD Program
in Economics for a three-year term.
- May 2001: Birth of our first child, Justin.
- 2001: For reasons not obvious to me, the University of Toronto Press
started to include my biography in the Canadian
Who's Who
and Who's
Who in Canadian Business.
- 2000: Recipient of Carleton Research Achievement Award.
- September 1998 - August 1999: Holder of the T.D. MacDonald Chair in
Industrial Economics at the Competition Bureau.
- July 1997 - July 1998: Spent my first sabbatical year as a Senior
Fellow at the National University of Singapore.
- July 1996: Promoted to Associate Professor.
- July 1991: Started teaching at Carleton University as an
Assistant Professor.
- 1991: Completed PhD degree at University of Western Ontario.
- 1987: Completed MA degree at Carleton University.
- December 1985: Came to Canada to study at Carleton University.
- 1985: Completed BA degree at Nanjing University.
